We’ll never leave you without hot water! If it’s late at night, or you need time to decide on which model you want to upgrade to, our friendly team of experts are happy set you up with a temporary hot water unit and finish the job the next day (or another time that suits you)!

What is a temporary hot water unit and how does it work?

A temporary hot water unit is a portable hot water system the Ritz Plumbing & Electrical team can bring with them to jobsites so that our customers will never be without hot water!

It gets temporarily installed in place of your non-functioning hot water unit. Its purpose is to make sure you have enough hot water until we can come back and finish the job, usually the next day or at a time that suits you.

At Ritz Plumbing & Electrical, it gives us peace of mind to have the option to put your hot water system on life support. We rest easier knowing you’ve got a hot water supply.

Can I get a temporary hot water unit?

Yes!

If you call us for a hot water service you’re eligible to have a temporary hot water unit put in.

A few common reasons we provide a temporary hot water unit are:

  • You decided to upgrade your system
Having a temporary unit gives you time to decide which system from our large range of options  you want to go with. It also gives our friendly team time to select your chosen option from our Welshpool warehouse and install it.
  • You called us late at night
No one wants to be kept up later than they have to be! If you need us late at night for a hot water emergency, we can connect a temporary unit and come back the next day when you’ve had a good rest and a hot shower.
  • It’s not a convenient time
When hot water systems break it’s usually never at a good time. If you’re busy with appointments, work or the school run, a temporary unit buys you time to schedule a day when you can be at home for repairs or upgrades.

What are the types of hot water systems?

There are a range of different types of hot water system to suit you and your lifestyle.

Hot water systems can be broken down into a four categories based on what method is used to heat the water for your property. These are:

  • Electric
  • Gas
  • Solar
  • Heat pump technology (efficiently extracting heat from the air!)

Then hot water systems can be broken down into two types based on how they deliver the hot water to you.

  • Instantaneous (or continuous flow)- water is heated as you need it
  • Storage

Instantaneous systems are either electric or gas and save on power and space. Storage systems include  all the options from before (electric, gas, solar and heat pumps).

Combinations are also possible, especially with solar! For example, you can combine solar panels with a heat pump for a popular cost-saving and energy efficient option.

Call the friendly Ritz P&E team on 13 74 89 to get a technician out to discuss your best options – with decades of experience we know our stuff!

Why don't you give prices over the phone?

Every individual  situation is different so we cannot give or commit to any prices over the phone – even rough prices.

This is due to a lot of factors. For example, the problem might be located in an area that is difficult to access.

This is why we send expert technicians out to you instead!

Our experts will provide you with a range of transparent quotes that are obligation free.

While they are there, they will have an in-depth look at whatever issues you are having and discuss a range of options with you to find a tailored solution that best suits your budget and situation.

Can I speak to a plumber or electrician over the phone?

We don’t provide technical advice over the phone as we have no way of being able to diagnose or fix a problem without seeing it.

Instead, we will send an expert over to you to take an in-depth look at the issue and provide you with a range of no-obligation solutions tailored to your individual needs.

When you contact us over the phone, our main concern is getting the best person out to you so that you can have the problem fixed sooner.
